MY JOURNEY

61132BF9-3E61-4420-9420-59E82E9387E2_edited.jpg

I have been a psychiatrist for over 37 years and my focus is on health promotion, quality of life and human development.

Having started my career in psychiatric hospitals, I soon sought to expand my knowledge, arriving at Anthroposophy . By associating the resources of Anthroposophic Medicine with Psychiatry , I directed my work towards the guidance and prevention of psychiatric illnesses.

I have always valued the humanization of treatment and, aware of the importance of family dynamics in the process of illness and recovery of the patient's health, I see it as opportune to favor the overcoming of family conflicts and the renewal of emotional bonds.

With the possibility of telemedicine care, I developed other approaches, maintaining a warm welcome and an attentive and humanized doctor-patient relationship, thus conveying my true desire to heal, which is a hallmark of my style. My long career has given me recognition and interaction with doctors from Brazil and abroad, who also research advances in the practice of integrative and ethical medicine.

As a psychiatrist, I recognize that, to a greater or lesser extent, the way society is structured today has a major impact on our physical and mental health. To better meet the urgent needs of those seeking information and guidance, I have designed my career to include knowledge in history and biopolitics , including the decoding of the 2030 Agenda and its impacts on health, education and behavior, as well as neuroscience and self-transformation.

You also have a whole journey already taken, the next steps may be confusing, requiring tools that allow a better understanding of the current scenario for safe decision-making.

If you, like me, are also interested in awakening consciousness, I address this and other topics in my office, mentoring, live sessions and lectures.

After graduating, I worked as a psychiatrist in numerous public and private psychiatric hospitals, participating in interdisciplinary teams. I have always valued the humanization of treatment and encouraged the participation and support of the family, as I realized the importance of family dynamics in the process of illness and recovery of the patient's health. After all, during the treatment process, it is opportune to encourage the overcoming of family conflicts (hurts, resentments) and the renewal of emotional bonds. In this way, we increase the chance that the patient and their family members will emerge positively transformed by the treatment experience.

Since the beginning of my medical career, the fact of being faced with the suffering of patients awakened in me a strong desire to work in the prevention of psychiatric illnesses.

In this search for other preventive resources and motivated by the desire to learn more about human beings and their stages of development, I began studying Anthroposophy and completed my training in Anthroposophic Medicine in São Paulo-SP in 1994 (1st ABMA class). This was a very significant moment that had a positive and definitive influence on my personal, family and professional life. Later, I obtained the International Certification from the Medical Section of the Goetheanum (International Headquarters of Anthroposophy), Dornach, Switzerland.

In 2004, with the purpose of putting the principles of Anthroposophy into practice, I created the Inova Clinic, which offered, in addition to consultations in Psychiatry expanded by Anthroposophy, complementary therapies, such as medicinal baths and therapeutic massages.

And, considering that Waldorf Pedagogy, linked to Anthroposophy, brings, in essence, the elements of preventive medicine, I created, with the collaboration of other families, the Associação Pedagógica Curumim Catu, which maintains Jardim Luz do Sol, for early childhood education.

Since 2014, I have deepened my knowledge in Psychiatry applied to Oncology, visiting anthroposophic hospitals in Switzerland and Germany, treating patients and participating as a speaker at medical events in Brazil and abroad.

In the various environments in which I have worked, I continue to promote Anthroposophy to health professionals and the general public, being responsible for coordinating workshops and lectures on various topics of interest related to Prevention and Health Promotion, Salutogenesis and Early Childhood Education and Guidance for Parents.

Starting in 2020, I began to perform telemedicine, that is, online consultations, but maintaining a warm welcome and more humanized professional relationships, thus conveying my true desire to heal, which is a hallmark of my style.

Due to my search for knowledge during the COVID-19 pandemic, I began to interact with doctors from Brazil and abroad, who were also researching the subject and practicing ethical medicine. As a psychiatrist, my participation in medical dialogue groups led me to perceive the forces that acted contrary to medical knowledge, seeking to cancel the already established medical-scientific culture, such as prevention practices, health promotion and immediate treatment (immediately after diagnosis).

Therefore, it became necessary for me to invest in expanding my field of knowledge beyond the borders of medicine, because, as a psychiatrist, I had the duty to understand the complex context that was influencing both medical conduct and patients' living conditions, generating widespread stress and anxiety.

Therefore, keeping this same intention, I also started to share the information I obtained on these topics on digital media. In March 2022, I was invited to participate in the coordination of the partnership between Doctors for Life and Aliança Medicina e Pedagogia Antroposófica. In this great project, we have already held more than 50 live broadcasts (check it out here), addressing issues related to the areas of health, education and human development applied to real life and the desires to broaden the field of vision of our audience, made up of doctors and health professionals, teachers, parents and interested parties.

Therefore, given the dynamism of today's society, as a psychiatrist, I have acted with the necessary resilience to overcome challenges and improve the quality of my medical care to patients. In addition, I have expanded my active participation in society, in defense of medical autonomy and the patient's freedom of choice.

Therefore, recognizing that the current world presents a complex scenario that, to a greater or lesser extent, can have an impact on physical and mental health, I designed my career to include knowledge in history and biopolitics, covering the decoding of the 2030 Agenda and its impacts on health, education and behavior, as well as neuroscience and self-transformation.

As international recognition of this work, in June 2024, I was invited to join the Senior Fellowship Program of the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC), USA, founded by a group of leading intensive care specialists in March 2020, and which is dedicated to preventing and treating COVID and helping patients take control of other areas of their health.

I believe that there is an increasing need to offer other forms of treatment with a comprehensive view of the human being, associated with conventional medicine, to encompass the richness of the human entity, with natural therapeutic resources, and I believe that prevention and health promotion are also the function of the psychiatrist, as well as helping the patient to improve their understanding and positioning in the world.

Therefore, I invite you to learn more about my work.
