As the 2030 Agenda advances, it becomes increasingly urgent to reflect on the future of Medicine and Health.

In recent years, we have warned about the implementation of rigid and centralized policies in the health sector, which limit the autonomy of doctors and affect the quality of care. These policies are fueled by censorship, which imposes barriers to the free exchange of information between professionals and undermines medical practice.

In addition, trust in medical institutions has been eroded, largely due to conflicts of interest, both individual and corporate, which result in clinical practices that often fail to resolve the health problems of the population. This raises serious questions about the impact of these influences on medical practice and the well-being of patients.

Another critical point is propaganda and mass manipulation techniques that induce the consumption of misinformation, influencing not only the conduct of doctors but also the decisions of patients. This process of brainwashing affects society in general, causing many to accept misinformation about health and treatments without question.

We are therefore concerned about attacks on medical autonomy and patients’ freedom of choice. Censorship of scientific debate and interference in the doctor-patient relationship are issues that require in-depth analysis.

Who is benefiting from this censorship? Why are doctors and patients being prevented from freely discussing the best approaches to health?

The doctor-patient relationship has been deeply affected by centralizing policies, censorship, and manipulation of information, harming doctors' autonomy and patients' freedom of choice. The 2030 Agenda offers a chance to reverse this scenario, promoting a more open debate and patient-centered medical practice. To do so, it is essential to rebuild trust and review the conduct of doctors and patients, with a firm commitment to the truth.
